DREAM CULTURE

In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams. 18 Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days, and they will prophesy.

Acts 2:17-18 (NIV)

Who gets these dreams and visions? All people.

What are we supposed to do with these dreams and visions? Use them to live abundantly. What child does not have aspirations of greatness? Children use their imaginations to become superheroes, knights, princesses, kings and queens. Maybe they dream of being a firefighter, police officer, doctor, nurse, or the president. Children find it easy to dream big.

What happens to our dreams as we grow older?

What happens to our dreams as we grow older? Some would say the realities of life set in and we become more practical. Maybe the reasons we no longer dream big is because we have been convinced that life is not really like that. We are too weak; too slow; not the right cultural class; we are too poor; things just don’t come easy for us. The list of dream killers goes on and on.

What if those dreams were the dreams of God for us and we let the cares of the world choke them out?

What if those dreams were the dreams of God for us and we let the cares of the world choke them out? Would we be responsible for those dreams just like the servant was responsible for the talents given to him by the king? How does the king feel when his people bury his gifts instead of investing them? We desire to uncover a culture where dreams are caught, nourished and fulfilled. A dream culture would be people joined together for the purpose of inspiring and encouraging others to go after their God given dreams. It would be a culture where the supernatural will become natural and expected in everyday life.

The Dream Culture will become people who change the spiritual atmosphere wherever they go.

The dream culture would be a community of believers who would find their identity God intended for them and live it. They would also see the potential in others and encourage them to be the masterpiece of the Master Creator. It would be a culture that is sure that nothing is impossible with God. It would be a community of believers that would seek out the good and abundant life that Jesus came to give us.

It would be an army that destroys the enemy’s lies that says “You can’t do that. It’s not possible.” They would become demonstrators of God’s goodness and provision for His royal family.

The Dream Culture will become people who change the spiritual atmosphere wherever they go. They will multiply and bring the earth into its intended destiny. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
