ALBUM REVIEW: SARAH BRUSCO - THE WOVEN WHISPER

The Woven Whisper is a beautiful recording full of fluid melodies, atmospheric textures, and lyrics that woo the heart into a more intimate place with God.

Weaving through a tapestry of sounds and vocals, Sarah takes the listener on a journey of the soul led by her own heart as she releases the story of her own journey with God through music.

The album starts out with a track called "A Breath". This cut is a mysterious and peaceful entry into the album that will beg you to keep it on repeat.

Next up is "Lead Me On". Lead me on is a song declaring God's faithfulness to lead us from glory to glory.

"Carry Me" show cases some nice acoustic guitar work while lending itself to the same atmospheric vocal textures found in some of the other tracks.

To me, the stand out track is "Make Your Home Inside My Heart". This song is a prayer set to music.

To me, the stand out track is "Make Your Home Inside My Heart". This song is a prayer set to music. Haunting melodies are sewn into this worshipful cut by a beautifully played cello. The heartfelt lyrics quickly cut through the noise of life to bring the listener into the presence and simplifying life with it's one request, "...find your resting place, make your home inside my heart...search me, know me...make your home with in me..."

I can't wait to hear more from this amazing couple. Their hearts are true gold and their music carries a peace and tranquility that I haven't heard on a worship record for a while. Pick up this record on iTunes by clicking here.
