If you read my last post, then you will have read my testimony of the far away Father. World changers not only understand who their Father is, but they understand who they are also. Everywhere I go, I see people who are acting like orphans, insecure and acting out of that insecurity with unhealthy behaviors. Understanding who we are in Christ is paramount to coming under the lordship of Jesus. Many times when lordship is talked about, it is limited to raw obedience. We can never devalue heaven’s priority on obedience, but true lordship is really believing who your Father says that you are. If you’re like me, at times you have voices speaking lies and twisted truths to try and convince you that you are a failure and that you don’t have what it takes. Let’s combat a couple of those lies and become the powerful people that we were born to be!

Lie #1: I am a beggar. Well, you may not think you are, but listen to yourself praying, I mean begging, for your Father to do something. Let’s get our head on straight by plunging our brain into some life changing truth. Truth #1:

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.

Ephesians 2:6

The mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Colossians 1:26-27

You have been made one with Christ. We are in a creative, ruling, and declarative role in the earth. We are here with the full authority that Christ has given us as His body to speak, act, and fill all things with His presence. We are in active participation with God’s nature and heart by His Spirit in order to advance a Kingdom that dominates our world through dispelling darkness by releasing light.

Lie #2: I can never be as powerful as my leader, pastor, etc. Truth #2:

Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.

John 14:12

So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up

Ephesians 4:11-12

Jesus set the tone for the Kingdom by telling His disciples GREATER things you will do. In fact, Jesus gave gifts to the church; apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers in order to EQUIP YOU to do kingdom exploits in the earth. Jesus actually wants you to go beyond where your leaders have been. He is not holding you back! Part of your assignment in this generation is to RAISE THE CEILING of what’s possible in the earth! Your exploits, the things that you speak and do, who you become, are important because the next generation is going to build upon what YOU do and who YOU are.

Become a powerful person in your thinking, believing, and doing, and you will become a father to others who are hungry to do the same. Holy Spirit will begin to draw those to you with a similar heart and vision and you will begin to INFLUENCE those around you to become powerful people as well!
